I was lucky to find a stash of wonderful, chippy wintage farmhouse tin.

I love working on this interesting and beautiful surface.

As I work with it I often think of the homes

where this tin came from and imagine the echoes of the past.

 

This one of a kind piece is centered around an original

collage of a a pink finned mermaid name Shelly.

Her grotto is an undersea wonderland of glittery shells,

spangled net, pearls, crystals, vintage tulle, mother-of-pearl,

a glittered starfish, sparkling butterflies and various sea foliage and fauna. 

A beaded dangle and rusty wire hanger complete this collage.

This piece is sure to inspire with it's uplifting message...
