The ever-stylish Marie Antoinette is reborn as a sparkling mermaid in this one of a kind grotto assemblage. This piece is set inside a scrolly gold frame that I have brushed with creamy pink paint and iridescent glitter. Inside the 7" x 6" frame I have created a lush bower of millinery flowers, pearls, sequins and glittered fronds. Marie sports a golden crown, spangled wings and an iridescent sequin encrusted fin. In her hand she holds a gilded royal sceptor that trails a sheer organza ribbon. Additional embellishments include rhinestone jewelry bits and curly feathers, all in delicious creamy pastels befitting a monarch of the sea.
